Competitive Robotics

Overview

IronMechs, short for Iron Mechanics, is the team name for all competitive robotics teams under Abacus Robotics. Abacus Robotics runs their competitve robotics teams for middle and high school students in Northern Virginia. Teams of 4-6 students compete at a variety of VEX Robotics competitions at the local, state, national, and international level.

About the IronMechs

Dr. Newland Agbenowosi has been the head coach of the team since its early days in 2015. IronMechs (99157) started as a middle school team, and later it grew to having both a middle (99157B) and a high school team (99157A).
