Workshop 2 – Arms and Lifts

Students will learn about the different lifts used in robotics, they will also learn about the advantages and disadvantages for each type of lift and how to choose the best option. In this workshop’s building session, students will learn to work with their group to build a simple 4-bar lift for them to drive at the end of the session. In the programming session, students will learn to write autonomous and user-control programs using text-based programming for their group’s lift. Additionally, students will learn about a variety of sensors used while programming lifts used in robotics, such as encoders, potentiometers, and touch sensors.
