Workshop 3 – Claws and Intakes
Students will learn about the different claws and intakes used in robotics, the benefits and downfalls for each claw or intake and how to choose the best option. In this workshop’s building session, students will learn to work with their group to build a simple roller intake or claw of their choice for them to drive at the end of the session. In the programming session, students will learn to write autonomous and user-control programs using text-based programming. Additionally, students will learn about a variety of sensors used while programming claws and intakes used in robotics, which include encoders, potentiometers, and touch sensors.
