Workshop 1 – Drivetrains

Students will learn about the different drivetrains used in robotics, they will also learn about the advantages and disadvantages for each drivetrain and how to choose the best option. In this workshop’s building session, students will learn to work with their group to build a simple drivetrain for them to drive at the end of the session. In the programming session, students will learn to write autonomous and user-control programs using text-based programming. Additionally, students will learn about a variety of sensors used while programming drivetrains such as encoders, gyroscopes, and touch sensors.
