Overview:
This camp introduces Computer Aided Design (CAD) to students. Students will develop 3D design and modeling skills that will enable them to design railway track pieces (including straight, curves, crossings) and the train cars. In the end, they can then print all the tracks and the wagons on a 3D printer to create a trainset.
Course Outcome:
By the end of this course, students will learn how to use 3D design software to model and create items. Students will also learn how to use a 3D printer to print 3D objects.
Requirements:
Enrolled students need to be versed in using common computer operations (e.g. login, screen captures, emailing attachments), internet browsers as well as know how to manage files.
