Abacus Robotics’ middle school robotics team, the IronMechs 2.0, has secured a spot at the upcoming World Championship Competition after winning multiple awards at recent competitions. The team won the Excellence Award at a local competition, allowing them to advance to the Virginia State Championship where they won the Design Award. Additionally, they won the Career Readiness Middle School Online Challenge, which helped secure their place at the World Championship. The team was also a finalist in the VEX Virtual Skills Online Challenge with their project titled “VR Skills Today, Coding the World Tomorrow.”
